Therefore, by utilizing the world’s knowledge and after negotiating with the world’s top software companies, including Protel Germany, they founded Adl Afarinan Mandeger Company in Tehran. Their goal was to provide hotel services online and using advanced systems. This company, under the brand name Adotel, quickly managed to find a special place in the Iranian hotel industry and become one of the leaders in this field.
After Dr. Askari Azad negotiated with the then CEO of Protel Germany and demonstrated the capabilities of Adotel to the German side, the first software connection for online distribution of accommodation capacities was established in Iran in the form of the well-known IDS project. At that time, it was considered a turning point in publishing and booking Iranian hotels on the platform of international portals such as Booking.com and specialized hotel search engines such as TripAdvisor. Protel, as one of the most reputable hotel management software in the world, has a brilliant history and is used in more than 14,000 hotels around the world. This cooperation was considered a turning point in improving the level of hotel services in Iran.
Parsian International Hotels Company, with 22 hotels across the country, was the first customer of Protel’s product in 2007 and continues to use this software. Adotel’s technical knowledge and close cooperation with Protel allowed Edutel to optimize this German system based on the needs of the Iranian market. Among these optimizations are the addition of connections with Iranian vendors, including and online connection between the financial software of the system partners and Protel. In the second phase of software solution development, Adotel designed and implemented a new product called the “Channel Manager” online sales channel management platform. This service, by connecting to other hotel software and online travel agencies in Iran, displays the available capacities of hotels in real time in the sales network. Adotel received the Digital Transformation Award at the Second National Digital Transformation Conference for designing this system and was introduced as the first and only Channel Manager of Iran. This success is a major step in the digital transformation of the country’s hotel industry.
By developing its Channel Manager product, Adotel has been able to connect more than 15 domestic online travel agencies such as Alibaba, Snaptrip, Iqamah 24, Iran Hotel Online, Aladdin, Channelled, Flightio, and Fly Today, etc., as well as hundreds of foreign travel agencies to this system through an online connection (API). With Adotel Channel Manager, all the capacity of the covered hotels is displayed in real time in domestic and foreign markets. This system also allows for the application of rules and regulations, reporting, and management of rates and capacity on a group or case basis, and has become an efficient and effective tool for the hotel industry.
To date, more than 250 hotels, including hotel groups and independent hotels in Iran, Iraq and the UAE, have connected to the Adotel network and are using its services. This connection has increased the market share of hotels in the online accommodation market and has brought up to 20% growth in their revenue. Adotel’s hospitality experts, using their specialized knowledge, provide the most complete training and the best advice to hotel managers and owners. Adotel’s support team is also ready to respond to the needs and guide hotel users 24/7.
Adopay, Adotel’s newest product, will be available to users by the end of fall 2024 and brings new innovations. This digital wallet offers hotels features such as verification, crediting, and instant settlement. By reducing the problems of hotels in cashing out receivables from travel agencies, Adopay helps them achieve their income quickly and without worry, and travel agencies can continue to sell safely and not worry about running out of credit. Adotel has always been a pioneer in innovation and providing practical solutions, and this service is also part of Adotel’s commitment to improving the hospitality industry.
With its impressive performance, Adotel processes an average of more than one million successful reservations annually, with a total amount of these reservations exceeding one trillion Tomans.
